An employers’ meeting between the industrialists of Chittagong Port City and Uddipan TVET Project was held in Uddipan TVET centre in Chittagong recently.
The objective of the meeting was to arrange internship training and employment opportunities for the trained students of Uddipan TVET Project in the related industries of the port city.
The meeting was chaired by Project Head, Dr SM Shahidullah in presence of the industrialists of the port city.
In the meeting, a power point presentation was given on Uddipan TVET Project by the Project Head. After the power point presentation the invited guests observed the class conduction and the practical classes facilitated by the instructors of Uddipan TVET Centre.
An interactive participatory discussion was also held among the industrialists, students, instructors and the senior personnel of the project returning from the class observation.
Later, an open discussion session was held where all employers and UDDIPAN personnel participated. In the session they passed their feedback and comments as well. The employers expressed their commitment to allow 3 month long internship training for UDDIPAN TVET students in their industries as per their requirement. And thus a successful employers’ meeting ended.
FSIBL opens Sadarghat Branch: First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL) opened its Sadarghat Branch in Chittagong on Wednesday.
The bank’s Managing Director Syed Waseque Md Ali inaugurated the branch as the chief guest, said a press release.
FSIBL Chittagong Zonal Head Wahidur Rahman, Head of ICT Division Taher Ahmed Chowdhury, Head of General Services Division AKM Abu Sagir Chowdhury, Head of Marketing (Development and Public Relations Division) Azam Khan, Manager of Sadarghat Branch Mohammad Osman, branch managers of Chittagong city and local elite were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
