A three-day ‘Bangladesh Industrial Building Innovation Summit and Exposition’ will be held from September 10-12 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city with a view to promoting sustainable, environment-friendly and planned urbanization.
Easy Group, one of the major servicing companies for oil, gas, power, construction, telecommunication and information technology sectors in the country will organize the exposition. A pre-summit ceremony was held recently where Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu attended as chief guest.
Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Moniruzzaman, Senior Advisor of German Development Corporation Dilder Ahmed Toufique, Managing Director of 350 Degree Total Solution Ananta Ahmed and Julfiker Ali of Easy Group were present.
Amir Hossain said, ‘The government has taken patronage and incentive policies through Industrial Policy-2015 to developing industrial environment in the country.”
Emphasising the exposition, organisers said that renewable natural power, carbon-free environment, use of daylight, control of air movement and building of eye-catching architecture by reuse of rainwater will be demonstrated through the exhibition.
Visitors will be able to learn about adopting environment friendly business policy and benefits and effectiveness of usage of low-carbon technologies in mills and factories through the three-day international conference.
According to the organisers, Bangladesh’s garments and textile sectors have been playing a constructive role in the global market for a long time. At the same time, exports in such sectors as shipbuilding, light engineering, ceramics, tiles, cement, electrical goods, plastic products, furniture and solar panels have been contributing to the national economy.
