‘Indo-Bangla relations bond of blood, brotherhood’

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that Bangladesh’s relations with India is different from other countries of the world as it is a bond of blood and brotherhood.
“The relationship of blood and brotherhood that has been formed with India will be strengthened further. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, relations with India have reached a unique height,” he said.
The state minister said this on Friday while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar marking ‘Mujib Borsho and Golden Jubilee of the country’s Independence’ organized by the Association of Bangladesh Students Studied in India (ABSSI) at the Sufia Kamal National Public Library in city’s Shahbag area.
ABSSI president Professor Dalem Chandra Barman presided over the function.
Among others, High Commission of India, Dhaka First Secretary (Education) Akshay Joshi, ABSSI General Secretary of the organization Bir Muktijoddha SA Mamun and former General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Nipu also spoke.
Noted journalist and Muktijoddha Dr Ajay Das Gupta was the key-note speaker.
