The touring Bangladesh National Cricket team will take on hosts India National Cricket team in the lone Test match at the Rajib Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad in India. The game begins at 10.00 am (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Deepto TV, a private satellite channel of Bangladesh will telecast the match live everyday. Before today’s Test match, Bangladesh faced India in seven occasions. Of them, India registered wins in six matches, while one match ended in a draw.
Captain of Bangladesh team Mushfiqur Rahim said, ” It will be a Test match. It will be a five-day long match. We play better brand of cricket in three days but cannot perform two days. It won’t be positive cricket. Our target is to perform well in all the five days. To keep the consistency in five days, we have to play well session after session. If we can do that we can present something pretty good for the spectators.”
He said, ” Virat Kohli is outstanding at his home soil. Spinner Ravicharan Ashwin is also formidable in his own condition. If we can remove Kohli early and don’t give any wicket to Ashwin, we shall earn something good for us.”
Captain of India team Virat Kohli said, ” I think players of Bangladesh have enough skill. They beat all teams in ODI format. They are good side for ODI format. They played lot of ODI matches. But, Test is a different format. If any team want to earn a good result in Test cricket, that team have to play enough Test matches.”
He said, ” I am sure that if Bangladesh get chance to play a lot of Test matches, will be a solid Test team and will have Test players. Bangladesh should give emphasis in this matter. They have ability to compete in the Test cricket.”
