IndiGo, the largest low-cost carrier of India, is set to start Dhaka-Kolkata round trip at all-inclusive fare of Tk 5,031 everyday from August 1.
“We are pleased to announce Dhaka as our 9th international destination with effect from August 1, 2018,” said William Boulter, Chief Strategy Officer of IndiGo.
Passengers would be able to buy tickets through its official website www.goindigo.in, William said.
The IndiGo flight from Dhaka is scheduled at 7:10pm departure, with options for convenient
connections to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
With this airfare, IndiGo is certainly going to stretch the existing competition between airlines in this popular destination to a new level.
Currently, four Bangladeshi carriers — state-run Biman, US-Bangla, Regent and Novo Air — are operating flights to Kolkata alongside India’s Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and Spicejet.
