An indigenous schoolgirl was attempted to rape by a man at Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi district.
The convict Kazem Uddin, 38, son of late Jeher Ali, a resident of Belna village of the upazila, attempted to rape the three-grader while she was returning to home alone from her school on Tuesday morning.
Local sources said that hearing her screaming, they rushed in and saved the girl from the spot.
Later, they caught Kazem red handed.
Officer in charge of Mohanpur police station Abul Hossain said, no one lodged any complaint in this incident. We will take a legal action after getting the complaint from victim or her family, OC also added.
