A three-member delegation led by Prof Bhupen Sarmah, Director of the Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change and Development, Assam, India called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at his office of the university.
During the meeting, they discussed the feasibility of conducting joint research on sustainable development to the border dispute between Bangladesh and North-East India.
Besides, introducing of joint education and research and exchange of teacher and students among Dhaka University and different universities and higher educational institutions of the region in India were discussed.
Dean of DU Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Professor ASM Maksud Kamal was present on the occasion, among others.
