Indian student became the proud winner of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) “Regional Competition”, a program of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) South Asia, hosted by Bangladesh, says a press release.
Eshan Sadashivan, Founder and CEO of PROSOC, Student Entrepreneur from Uttar Pradesh, India, bested his competitors based on HIS business idea, excellent presentation skill and smart responses during the question answer session. Bangladeshi Student Entrepreneur Jahangir Alam, Founder of ALO, won the award of 2nd Runner, for his remarkable contribution in the renewable energy sector.
This Regional GSEA champion will be competing against the top student entrepreneurs from around the world in the hopes of winning over US$400,000 in cash and donated prizes at EO GSEA Global Finals 2018 in Toronto, Canada.
Eshan Sadashivan is an electronics engineer and product designer who is currently pursuing PhD from IIT Kanpur. His initiative PROSOC works for children. A remarkable innovation of a school bag which is can be converted as a reading table! Eshan and his enterprise wish to contribute in developing a sound life and upright future for the children.
“GSEA has introduced me with a wide-open horizon of possibilities. This has been a continuous adventure of enriching me through learning. Moreover, attending the regional finals have been an amazing experience as I got acquaintance with innovative geniuses from other countries and I think this will help me broaden my vision about business and friendship.” said Eshan Sadashivan, winner of GSEA regional competition.

Tofail Ahmed, MP, Minister for Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has graced the event with his presence as the chief guest. In his speech, he congratulated the winners and competitors and said that the promise of the young and creatives minds displayed in this competition is something of great hope. Mentioning the significance of entrepreneurship development, he also praised the initiatives of EO and inspired these type of engagements for future development.
In the jury for the regional finale was Sayed Almas Kabir, Chief Executive Officer of MetroNet Bangladesh Limited and Managing Director of AyAl Corp, Farzana Chowdhury, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer o Green Delta Insurance Company Limited, Minhaz Anwar, Head of GP Accelerator, Rokia Afzal Rahman, chairperson of Mediaworld Ltd and Chiranjiv Patel, Reginal Director, EO GSEA South Asia.
