Dr S Prasanna Kumar, Deputy Director and Scientist of the National Institute of Oceanography of India on Tuesday called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office.
Chairman of the Department of Oceanography of Dhaka University Prof Dr Md Kawser Ahmed was present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs by the Department of Oceanography of Dhaka University and the National Institute of Oceanography of India.
They stressed on regional cooperation and introducing joint collaborative academic and research programs on various issues including Bay of Bengal, river management and cliamte change. They hoped about signing a Memorandum of Understanding soon in this regard.
