Indian nat’l found dead: 1 held

An Indian national was found dead in front of a five-storey building at Natun Bazar in the district town on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Gobinda Bhattacharja, 38, a resident of Madhyapara village in 24 Parganas district in India.
Locals spotted the body in front of Kazi Tower in the morning and informed police, said Ilias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Magura Police Station.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Magura Sadar Hospital.
Police also recovered a note searching the body with the details of his address, the police officer added.
Several injury marks and many fractures on bones were found in different parts of the body, said the hospital’s resident medical officer.
Police suspected that Gobinda was killed on Friday night following a conflict over business and the body was thrown from the 3rd floor of the building.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers detained Sarfaraj, 32, a resident of Nijnanduali village, for integration.
