Indian national arrested, gold bars in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Battalion , in a raid, arrested an Indian national along with 10 pieces of gold bars weighing 1kg 200 grams worth Tk 58,51,000 from Daulatpur frontier under Benapole port police station on Thursday noon.
The arrested is Gopal Sarker,50, of Kaliani village under Uttar 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India.
Lieutenant Colonel Imran Ullah Sarker, commanding officer, 21 Border Guard Battalion told that the Indian national was held from Daulatpur frontier while he was going to India along with the gold bars on Thursday noon using illegal way. He was handed over to Benapole port station after filing a case.
