Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chittagong Mr. Somnath Halder paid a courtesy call with immediate past city Mayor Manzoor Alam at his city residence in Kattali on Saturday .
Former mayor received the Indian diplomat at the residence by presenting bouquets. Son of the former Mayor and Managing Director of Mostafa Hakim Group Sarwar Alam was also present on the occasion.
The two leaders exchanges views on mutual interests during his visit and congratulated the diplomat for coming in his residence. Former Mayor discussed the matter of visa complications for traveling India and said a large numbers of patient and their guardian s are facing utter problem in getting timely visa caused to life risks of the patients.
Manzoor urged the Indian diplomat to minimize the procrastination of visa process .
The Indian diplomat ensures the former Mayor to ease the visa processing in coming days. Mr. Somnath said India is already keen for the well-being of the Bangladeshi nationals and the visa complications to be made more easier than before, sources said.
