Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled Indian goods, including drugs, from an inter-city train at Phulbari rail station here early Friday.
Commanding Officer of Phulbari-29 BGB Lieutenant Colonel M Jahidur Rashid said acting on secret information, a team of BGB intercepted inter-city ‘Shimanto Express’ train from Khulna and seized Indian contraband items, including drugs, injections and cloths from the train. The market value of the seized items is Tk30 lakh, he added.
However, no one was arrested in this connection.
