Indian Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh called on Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan at the Army Headquarters of Dhaka Cantonment on Monday.
During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed matters of bilateral training of two friendly armies and professional issues, said an ISPR release.
Earlier, Indian Army Chief paid homage to the martyred members of Bangladesh Armed Forces who laid down their lives during the War of Liberation in 1971 by
placing a floral wreath at Shikha Anirban of Dhaka Cantonment.
Later, he went to Senakunja where he was given a guard of honour by a smartly turned out Army contingent. He inspected the guard and took salute. He also planted a sapling on the Senakanja premises.
