India and Pakistan will end their cricketing stalemate as both countries will renew their rivalry with a bilateral Test series in December 2015 as per reports.
It is highely unlikely of India travelling to Pakistan as in the recent years UAE have been hosting matches. In the ICC’s Future Tours Programme, Pakistan will be playing four more series against India over the next eight years.
“There has been a proposal to resume bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan. As I understand, there has been an agreement that the two teams will play each other,” ICC chief N Srinivasan told the Times of India on Friday.
“We have set an eight-year plan and are working towards it,” a source from the BCCI said.
The newly appointed ICC chief also hinted of the possibility of the matches between both the rival nations being played at a neutral venue.
“As part of the restructuring of the FTP, India have agreed to play Pakistan in off-shore venues and as I understand, the BCCI working committee has agreed to it,” added Srinivasan.
