India, Nepal U-16 soccer teams arrive

Defending champions India and Nepal U-16 football teams are the first two teams arrived this afternoon to participate in the six-nation SAFF U-16 Championship that will begin on Sunday (Aug 9) at Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
Talking to BSS Bangladesh Football Federation Public Relation Officer Ahasan Ahmed Amit said both the teams now staying in Sylhet via Shahajalal International Airport in Dhaka this afternoon.
He said both Afghanistan and Srilanka team is expected to reach in city tomorrow (Friday). Maldives as last team will arrive in the city on Saturday (Aug-8), the day before the tournament kick-off.
Earlier, Bangladesh pitted on strong Group A along with India and Sri Lanka while Group B team consisted of Nepal, the Maldives and Afghanistan.
Hosts Bangladesh will start their SAFF Championship campaign taking on Sri Lanka on August 11 at 5pm at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
The six-nation SAFF Youth Championship will begin on Sunday (Aug-9) with holders India taking on Sri Lanka in the opening match at 5pm.
In the remaining group match, Bangladesh will play defending champions India on August 13 also at 5pm at the same venue.
On completion of the group matches, top two teams of each group will play in the semifinal on August 16 while the final match will be held on August 18.
