The Government of India has gifted 109 ambulances to Bangladesh on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary. One of the first ambulances of the gift entered the Benapole land port on Monday morning through Benapoel Port.
The rest of the ambulances will arrive in phases before and after the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh. However, Indian Prime Minister will formally handed over the gift ambulances to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth centenary in Dhaka.
Uttara Motors High official Zakaria Imtiaz said, The ambulances arrived on Monday were kept in the Benapole port shed. After the formalities of port and customs it will be taken to Dhaka.
The remaining 108 ambulances will come to Bangladesh through Benaole port gradually in phases.
The first gift ambulance has ventilation facilities.
In other words, there is an opportunity to carry cardiac rage.
Benapole Customs House Commissioner Azizur Rahman said, that once the ambulance brought as a gift from the Indian Prime Minister, arrived at Benapole port, arrangements would be made to release on a priority basis.
