Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Wednesday said India has agreed to extradite Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the Narayanganj seven-murder case.”We raised Nur Hossain’s issue with Indian External Affairs Minister (Sushma Swaraj) during her recent Bangladesh visit. We sought Nur Hossain to be deported… she agreed to extradite him.” he said this in Parliament replying to a supplementary question from Jatiya Party MP Pir Fazlur Rahman (Sunamganj-1).”We’re going to send a letter to India requesting them to send Nur Hossain back as India has already agreed to do so,” Mahmood Ali said.Paschimbanga police arrested Nur Hossain along with his two accomplices from an apartment in Kolkata on June 14 as Narayanganj police had earlier sought Interpol’s help to arrest Nur Hossain.On April 27, seven people, including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker, were abducted from Fatullah area of Narayanganj. Later, their bodies were recovered from the Shitalakhya River on April 30 and May 1.Nur Hossian, a Narayanganj city councillor, and some of his associates remained absconding since the killing of the seven people.
