Sabbir Rahman hits unbeaten ton: India A team trail by 67 runs

India A team trailed by 67 runs when they scored 161 for the loss of one wicket in the first innings in reply to Bangladesh A team’s first innings total of 228 on the first day of the three-dayer match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.
Bangladesh faced a batting collapse as the tourists lost their early five wickets for 50 runs.
Later, Sabbir Rahman and Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury salvaged their team from disaster contributing together 132 runs for the sixth wicket partnership before Shuvagata Hom was caught by KK Nair off VR Aaron when Bangladesh A team’s total was 182 for the loss of six wickets.
Sabbir Rahman remained unbeaten with 122. His 131-ball splendid innings was ornamented with 23 fours and one sixer.
Shuvagata Hom notched up 62 from 95 balls featuring nine fours and one six.
Nasir Hossain was the other run getter for Bangladesh A team who hit 32 from 28 balls with seven fours.
After dismissal of Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury, J Yadav dismissed Saqlain Sajib for 4, Shafiul Islam for zero, Rubel Hossain for zero, Jubair Hossain for 0.
Earlier, IC Pandey removed opener Anamul Haque for zero and VR Aaaron dismissed Soumya Sarkar for zero, Mominul Haque for 2 and Liton Kumar Das for zero.
J Yadav and VR Aaron captured four wickets each for 28 and 45 runs respectively.
Later, India A team made a solid start as A Mukund and S Dhawan, the two openers of India A team added 153 runs in the opening stand before A Mukund was bowled out by Shuvagata Hom.
S Dhawan remained unbeaten with 116. His 112-ball knock was laced with 16 fours and two sixes.
A Mukund scored 34 runs from 78 balls with four fours.
SS Iyer was on six before the bails were drawn for the first day.
Shuvagata Hom took one wicket for 37 runs.
