The Independence Day Volleyball begins on March 11 (Tuesday) at the Volleyball Stadium in the city with six teams competing in the meet.
Abdur Razzak Khan, chairman of sponsoring organization, My One Electronic Industries Limited is expected to inaugurate the four-day meet as the chief guest in the afternoon.
In the last year’s meet, Bangladesh Army emerged as champion while Titas Gas finished as runners-up.
A press conference was held on Sunday at the Bangladesh Hockey Federation conference room to give details of the meet.
Volleyball Federation general secretary Ashikur Rahman Miku, tournament committee secretary Fazle Rabbi Babul and director of My One Electronic Industries Limited Abdul Latif Khan were present at the press conference.
Participating teams: Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Titas Gas and Bangladesh Power Development Board.
