The Independence Day Runner Open Tennis competition begins today (Thursday) at the national tennis court complex at the city’s Ramna.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder MP is expected to inaugurate the meet as chief guest at 4pm.
Sponsored by Runner Group and organized by Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) a total of 250 participants from different federations and affiliated clubs/ associations will take part in the five-day meet.
The competition will be held in men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles, boys’ singles under-14 year, girls’ singles under-14 years, boys’/girls under-12 years, boys’/girls’ under 10-year, boys’/girls’ under-8 years, senior 50 plus and senior 55 plus events.
The cash prize of Taka 1,47,000.00 will be given in the men’s singles & doubles, and women’s singles event.
