The Walton-Liberation War Affairs Ministry Independence Day Kabaddi Competition begins today at the Kabaddi Stadium. Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation has arranged the kabaddi meet. RB Group and Ministry of Liberation War Affairs are joint sponsors of the competition.
A total of seven teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the kabaddi meet. Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence are in Group A while Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jail team, Bangladesh Navy are in Group B.
The final will be held on March 30.
To mark the upcoming kabaddi meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of National Sports Council on Wednesday.
First Senior Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Chairman of the Tournament Committee Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Parvez, Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee ANM Mahfuza Khan, AGM of Sports & Welfare Department of RB Group Mehrab Hossain Asif were present at the conference.
Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs MA Hannan will be the chief guest today at the inaugural ceremony while First Senior Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Sawn will be present with him as the special guest.
