Both the women’s and men’s division finals of the Independence Day Handball competition will be held today at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
On the day’s first final, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party meet Bangladesh Police Handball Club in the women’s division final match that kicks off at 9.00am while Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) face Bangladesh Police Handball Club in the men’s division second final of the day which begins at 10.30am.
A total of nine teams including five of men’s team and four teams of women’s are taking part in the eight-day meet, organized by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).
The competition is being held marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Participating teams:
Men’s teams: Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Party, Chapainawabganj District Sports Association, Dhaka Divisional Sports Association, Border Guard Bangladesh and Bangladesh Police Handball Club.
Women’s teams:
Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Police Handball Club, Jamalpur Sports Academy and Nasrul Hamid Sports Academy.
