Two more matches of the Independence Cup Handball competition (men’s and women’s) decided on the second day (Friday) at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
In the day’s men’s division match, Bangladesh Police beat Bangladesh Red by 33-17 goals after leading the first half by 17-09 goals.
In the women’s division match, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation defeated Bangladesh Red team by 28-11 goals after dominating the first half by 18-8 goals.
A total of eight teams — four from men’s division and four from women’s division– are competing in the five-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF).
