The Walton Independence Cup Handball Competition begins today at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. Bangladesh Handball Federation will arrange the handball meet under auspices on Walton Group.
To mark the ensuing competition, a press conference was held at the office room of Bangladesh Handball Federation on Wednesday. Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Senior AGM of Walton Group Mehrab Hossain Asif, General Secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Chairperson of the Tournament Committee Farida Akter Begum, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Mokbul Hossain were present at the conference.
A total of four teams will take part in the Men’s Division. They are: Bangladesh Police, Quantum, Bangladesh Red and Bangladesh Green.
A number of four teams will participate in the Women’s Division. They are: BJMC, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Red and Bangladesh Green.
The champions and the runners-up will be awarded trophies.
The handball meet will be concluded on March 26.
