Ideal School and College Ovibhabok Forum (ISCOF) on Tuesday protested increasing of tuition fees of the students by the school authorities.
The leaders of the ISCOF also demanded cancellation of the increased tuition fees immediately.
The ISCOF leaders said this after a protest meeting in the city on Tuesday morning
Chairman of ISCOF Freedom Fighter Ziaul Kabir Dulu presided over the meeting, while its leaders Selim Uddin, Abdul Ahad, Alamgir Hossain, Salauddin Al Mamun and Shamoli Shimu spoke, among others.
Ziaul Kabir Dulu said, “The school authorities increased Tk 200 per month as tuition fees in the name of enhancing salary of the teachers and employees in August this year. They compelled to reduce Tk 100. Just after three months they increased Tk 250 again.”
A view exchange meeting with the guardians will be held on October 1, a press conference will be arranged on October 3 and a memorandum to be submitted to the Education Secretary to meet the demand, Dulu said.
