A seven-day income tax fair will begin in the port city from September 16 to 22 with an objective of making the general people and taxpayers aware of payment of tax.
Housing and Public Minister Engineer Mosharf Hossain, MP, is scheduled to inaugurate the fair at the Government Office Bhaban-2 of Agrabad Commercial area at 10 am.
This was disclosed at a press conference held at the conference hall of Agrabad Tax Zone-1 commissioner’s office.
Commissioner of Tax Zone-1 Mohammad Dabir Uddin in his written statement said the programmes would begin through bringing out a rally and holding a procession on the premises of Tax Bhaban-1 in city’s Agrabad area.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) will also honour the highest and long-time taxpayers of Chittagong in the inaugural ceremony.
The fair will remain open to visitors from 10 am to 6 pm every day.
