The inaugural ceremony of psychological feature film Monoloke took
place at Lamda Hall of Gulshan Club on Wednesday. Noted cultural personality and former cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP was present as the chief guest in the programme. Noted director and actor Salahuddin Lavlu was also present
at the event, among others. The film has been produced by Hafiz Alam Bakhsh and has been written and directed by Shahid Rayhan.
Popular film actress Nipun and noted actor Fazlur Rahman Babu
will share the screen in a Monoloke. The film also stars popular TV actress Deepa Khandakar and theatre artiste Jayita Mahalanobish, along with actors Samu Chowdhury, M A Bari,
A K Azad Setu, Niaz Tarek, Masud Mohiuddin, Ashraful Ashish and Aryan, among others. The cast
sportingly came forward to take
up the challenge, charging
BDT 1 for the production.
Director Shahid Rayhan said, “It chronicles the journey of independent Bangladesh and how the post-independence political trend has shaped the thoughts and career of some of the most prominent political leaders. Monoloke will play a widespread role outside the silver screen of films in creating a sense of security about the country’s independence and sovereignty in the minds of the masses.”
The screenplay of the movie is also handled by the director himself, while it is produced by CEO, ATN Bangla, UK, Hafiz Alam Bakhsh, he also said.
