Experienced opener Imrul Kayes has been named Captain of Comilla Victorians. Kayes will lead the Comilla Victorians for the upcoming Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket. The BPL Cricket will start on January 21.
Earlier, Comilla Victorians emerged the champions of the BPL Cricket 2019 under the captaincy of Imrul Kayes.
The authority of Comilla Victorians formed a strong team for BPL Cricket. They included local cricketers like Liton Das, Mominul Haque, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mustafizur Rahman.
They collected foreign cricketers like Faf du Plessis of South Africa, Moeen Ali of England, Sunil Narine of West Indies, Cameron Delport of South Africa, Karim Janat of Afghanistan.
Imrul Kayes have a superb performance in BPL Cricket. He scored 1, 774 runs playing 81 matches. He could not hit any century in BPL Cricket. But he had eight half-centuries. He showed a satisfactory performance in the last edition of BPL Cricket. He scored 442 runs playing 13 matches. His average was 49.11. He struck four half-centuries in this season.
