Imranur to take part in World Indoor Athletics

Imranur Rahman of Bangladesh will take part in the World Indoor Athletics, which is scheduled to be held in Belgrade, the capital city of Yugoslavia from March 16 to March 21.
Imranur Rahman, the expatriate of Bangladesh took part in the Sutcliff Indoor Games in London yesterday. He finished the 60-metre sprint clocking 6.68 seconds. He became first out of six participants.
Earlier, Imranur Rahman became the fastest man of the country breaking the record of 100-metre sprint of Bangladesh at Bangladesh Army Stadium in Banani in January of this year. He finished the race taking 10.50 seconds.

Rakib Montu said, ” Before the World Indoor Athletics, Imrunr’s performance is very optimistic for us. I hope that he will perform well in the upcoming World Indoor Athletics.”
Imranur Rahman will compete in the Commonwealth Games, Islamic Solidarity Games, Asian Games this year. He will take part in the SA games next year.
No sprinter of Bangladesh could win in 100-metre sprint in SA Games. Imranur Rahman can bag the gold in the 100-metre sprint in next year’s SA Games.
