Imran wants new Pakistan to marry again

Pakistan’s cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, during his speech to the participants of the protest Azadi March in Islamabad demanding Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif”s resignation, has announced that he wants his ‘Naya Pakistan’ to be formed quickly so that he can get married again. Imran Khan, who is undisputedly Pakistan’s most eligible ‘single’ male (for the past nine years) early Sunday morning said that one of the reasons, among others, for his being so desperate to bring about a ‘New Pakistan’ was to get married
-again, TheNew.com reported. The sixty-two-year-old politician in June 2004 divorced British socialite Jemima Goldsmith with whom he has two sons – Sulaiman Isa and Kasim. Khan married Jemima on May 16, 1995, in a ceremony conducted in Urdu in Paris.
A month later they were married again in a civil ceremony at the Richmond registry office in England. Jemima converted to Islam to marry Khan. On June 22, 2004, it was announced that the couple had divorced, ending the nine-year marriage because it was “difficult for Jemima to adapt to life in Pakistan”.
