Imran sails into the semifinals of the World Indoor Athletics Championship

UK born Bangladeshi Athlete Imranur Rahman reached the semifinals in the men’s 60m sprint event of the ongoing World Indoor Athletics Championship 2022,Belgrade, Serbia on Saturday.
Imran took part in the fifth hit of the event. He finished third with a time of 8.84 seconds and got a ticket for the semifinals.
Marcel Jacobs, the gold medalist in the 100 meters at the Tokyo Olympics, ran with Imran in this hit. He was the first. It took 8.53 seconds.
Imranur Rahman broke the record 22 years ago by participating in the National Athletics for the first time. Imran, who became the country’s fastest man in the Bangladesh Army jersey, is representing the red-green in the World Athletics Indoor Championship this time.
In the latest National Championship, Imran took part in the 100m sprint and became the fastest man in the country with a time of 10.50 seconds. He broke the record of 10.54 seconds set by the late Mahbub Alam in 1999.
