Staff Reporter :Two groups of Gonojagoron Mancha, Imran H Sarkar and Kamal Pasha, locked in a clash at Shahbagh area of the capital on Friday.Convener of Gonojagoron Mancha (Imran group) Dr Imran H Sarkar and three others were injured in the clash that took place at around 6:30pm.One of the injured is Mehedi of Kamal Pasha Group.According to witnesses, the activists of Gonojagoron Mancha and its other faction, Chhatra Sangathan, brought out a joint rally at Shahbagh, protesting the SC verdict that commuted the death penalty of top Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee.Soon after the rally ended at about 6pm Gonojagoron Mancha activists led by Imran H Sarkar tried to bring out a procession amid police obstruction.At one stage of their stand off with the law enforcers, the two factions of Gonojagoron Mancha engaged themselves in an altercation with each other, triggering the clash.
