The government has withdrawn all tariffs on import of dengue test kits and reagents amid a massive outbreak of dengue fever across the country.
“All duty, value added tax, advance tax and income tax on import of dengue test kits, reagents and blood platelet plasma test kits have been withdrawn,” said a government circular issued on Monday.
The provision will be applicable for importing dengue testing kits with approval by the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) till Aug 31.
The drug administration will monitor the quality of the kits being imported into the country.
