Bhabadah Water Mitigation Movement Committee at a press conference held at Jashore Press Club on Monday demanded immediate implementation of Tidal River Management porgramme to relief over 20 lakh people of Abahynagar, Monirampur and Keshabpur upazilas of Jashore, Dumuria of Khulna and Tala of Satkrira districts from the curse of water stagnation.
Enamul Haque Babul, convener of the committee read out the written statement at the press conference.
In the press conference, it was said that a total of around 80 hectares of land of over 500 villages are suffering for water stagnation due to lack of implementation.
