A press conference was held in Mymensingh’s Gafargaon demanded implementation of 10th grade to primary assistant teachers.
Primary Assistant Teachers 10th Grade Implementation Coordinating Council Convener Md. Zahirul Kabir, Joint Convener Md. Abu Naeem Saleh Ahmed, Md. Shamsul Huda, Md. Mahmuda Akter Sumna, DM Mazharul Alam and others were present at the press conference.
Among others, Member Secretary Md. Khodadad Hossain Siddiqui, Md. Aminul Islam, Member Ruhul Amin Fakir, Md. Ataur Rahman Didar and teachers leaders of 10th Grade Implementation Coordinating Council.
Speakers at the press conference sought the kindness of the Prime Minister for the implementation of 10th grade of primary assistant teachers and highlighted their logical demands and said that graduates are getting 10th grade salary in various professions in the country. But even though the recruitment of primary teachers is graduate, the salary grade is 13th.
The speakers further said that the price of commodities has gone up. Per capita income has almost doubled compared to 2015.
But the salary of assistant teachers has not increased much. In this situation, the teachers are living a dehumanized life due to the increase in the cost of living along with the increase in the price of daily necessities.
