National Democratic Front, Jessore district unit has urged the government to take step for immediate solution to Bhabadah water-logging problem.
The NDF leaders put the demands at rally held at Pipepatti intersection in Jessore town on Sunday noon.
Hafizur Rahman, general secretary, Jessore district unit and Abdur Razzak Master, vice-president, Jessore sadar upazila unit of the party spoke at the rally.
About four lakh people of Abhaynagar, Monirampur, Keshabpur and a portion of Jessore sadar upazila and Tala of Satkhira and Dumuria of Khulna district are directly affected for Bhabadah water strangulation problem for over a month.
In their speeches, the NDF leaders said flood affected people across the country are suffering from want of food, medicine, pure drinking water and so on. The government as well as the people of the country should strengthen their helping hands towards the affected people.
