IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (rating-2405) of Bangladesh split point with 2577 rated GM Sergey Tiviakov of Netherlands in the fifth round game of second International Chess Tournament, President of Uzbekistan Cup, category A, now being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The fifth round matches was held Friday last with IM Fahad played with black pieces to choose the France Defense and made a draw with GM Tiviakov after 25th moves, said a press release on Saturday.
Besides, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag won against WIM Egamberdieva Bakhora of Uzbekistan in his fifth round match.
The sixth round games was held on Saturday morning and IM Fahad lost to GM Aryan Chopra of India and FM Parag lost to IM Fayzullaev Akmal of Uzbekistan.
Fahad earned 3.5 points and FM Parag earned two points after the sixth round matches.
