A drive has been launched to evict illegally constructed structures on the bank of a canal by seizing property by the Water Development Board (WDB) at Naogaon Manda area on Monday morning.
Naogaon Water Development Board Executive Engineer Sudhanshu Kumar Sarkar said , there is a canal of Water Development Board around 10 km from Manda Pathakata to Satihat. Hundreds of illegal structures were built on the both sides of the canal.
The eviction was started from Monday morning to dismantle the canal. On the first day of the drive , 46 structures were demolished in the Satihat area.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) SM Habibul Hasan, Mandar Police Station Deputy Inspector Nazrul Islam and a special team of police conducted the drive.
