A press conference was arranged on Wednesday by Saraipara dwellers of Pahartali thana in the city drawing attention to the prime minister , home minister and other govt agencies against the illegal occupation of common thoroughfare at Gainarchar of Saraipara adjoining to Mofizul Islam Sowdagar bari, opposite to Hakkani petrol pump of Pahartali by a influential gang of Kabir Islam.
A hapless women named Shamsun Nahar is one of the sufferers of illegal encroachment of her land.
The family members of the said woman are passing days with panic, it is alleged in the press meet.
The press conference said , following the grabbing of land by the ill forces of Kabir Islam obstructing the movement of the pedestrians through this common passage . About 300 family members will be deprived of their rights of movement through this thoroughfare on common interest.
The written statement was told that kabir gang won’t hesitate any body to grab the land on the innocents of the area by creating false and fabricated deeds and none courage to protest him fearing their terrorist activities. The local dwellers persued the matter with local councilor and t Pahartali thana police, but they refuse to take their complaints, press meet was told.
Finding no alternatives, 3 Misc. cases have been lodged with the Magistrate court in Chittagong against Kabir Islam gang , the press meet said. (Case Nos. No.1334/14, No.1468/14, No.1411/14) . The written statement urged the prime minister, home minister, DIG police, CMP commissioner to entervene the matter for better interest of the locality.
