Ilias Kanchan to celebrate four decades of his acting career

National Film Award winner evergreen hero Ilias Kanchan is going to complete four decades of his acting career in film industry. He will complete four decades on December 31. He started his acting career through late Subhash Dutta’s movie Bashundhara.
On March 26, 1977 he first stood in front of camera. On that year’s December 31, his acted Bashundhara was released. Bobita was his co-actress. From that time to 2017 every year his acted movies were released. He has acted in more than 350 movies till now. As heroine, he got most of the time Champa, Anju and Diti.
He first jointly produced movies Sorporani and Boner Moto Bone. Later he produced Badshah Bhai, Matir Kosom, Khuni Asami, Bodsurat, Banchar Lorai, Munna Mastan, etc.
On the occasion of celebration of four decades of his career, Ilias Kanchan is going to arrange a get-together party at a city restaurant on first day of English New Year.
While talking in this regard he said, “While going to arrange this celebration I found two persons – Subhash Dutta and Darashiko – who are not alive now. They had huge contribution in my career to come into this position. Many other favourite faces are not seen now. They also left me.”
Ilias Kanchan’s hometown is Kishoreganj. He is son of Abdul Ali and Swarupa Khatun. He got the National Film Award for acting Alamgir Kabir’s Parineeta. He gave direction of two movies – Baba Aamar Baba and Mayer Swapno.
