In last day of 2017, popular film actor Ilias Kanchan has completed 40 years of his acting career. To celebrate the day, he arranged a get-together party at Dhaka Club on first day of New Year. The programme became a huge gathering of film actors, directors, producers and others. Information Minister Hasanul Inu was present as the chief guest in the programme.
Film actress Champa, Abdul Latif Bachchu, Azizur Rahman, Shofi Bikrampuri, Abu Musa Debu, Ahmed Sharif, Hafiz Uddin, Faruk, Fahmida Nabi, Amin Khan, Shabnaz, Shabnur, Poppy, Purnima, Ferdous, Misha Sawdagor, Zayed Khan, wife of Amit Hasan Laboni, Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, Noresh Bhuiyan, Bazlur Rashed Chowdhury, Nur Mohammad Moni, Reza Latif, Sohanur Rahman Sohan, wife of Ilias Kanchan Farida Yasmin, among others, were present in the programme. Storywriter Mujtaba Soud moderated the event.
It is mentioned that on December 31 in 1977 Ilias Kanchan acted first movie Bashundhara directed by Subhash Dutta was released.
