Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed paid homage to the 1971 Liberation War martyred police members at the monument on Rajarbagh Police Lines.
He placed a floral wreath at Liberation War Memorial on Rajarbagh Police Lines on Thursday morning. Senior police officials were present.
Police had formed the first armed resistance against Pakistani occupational forces on March 25, 1971 during the attack on the Rajarbagh Police Lines.
