IGCC’s founding anniversary celebrated

Marking the 6th founding day anniversary of Indira Gandhi Culture Centre (IGCC) organised a programme
of music and dance at the main auditorium
of Bangladesh National Museum in the city’s
Shahbag area recently.
The programme was
presented by the teachers and students of the IGCC.
Dr Aparna Pandey, Hindi teacher and her students
rendered a chorus song titled Itni Shakti Hamein Dena Data in the programme.
A Qawaali song was
presented by Hindustani classical vocal music teacher, Santosh Kumar Mishra and his students. This was
followed by a Yoga
demonstration by Yoga teacher, Dr Brajesh Singh
and his students. Meanwhile, Sankari Mridha, dance teacher, presented
a Bharatnatyam dance.
The event was concluded
by a Manipuri dance titled Leichen by dance teacher Warda Rihab and
her students.
Dr Gowher Rizvi, International Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister
of Bangladesh, graced
the occasion as the
Chief Guest and the
High Commissioner of India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, also graced
the occasion as the guest
of honour in the
programme. n
