Calcutta Mohammedan Sporting Club clinched the 118th IFA Shield when they beat Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club of Bangladesh by 4-3 goals in the sudden-death of the final of the 118th IFA Shield at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, West Bengal of India on Saturday.Sony Norde of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club put his team ahead by a spectacular free-kick in the 28th minute of the first half.Mehraz of Calcutta Mohammedan Sporting Club leveled the margin in the 45th minute of the play.The stipulated ninety-minute match was ended in a 1-1 draw.The extra-time play was also ended in a 1-1 draw.Thus the match of the final was turned in the tie-breaker and the tie-breaker was ended in a 3-3 draw.Later, Calcutta Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 4-3 goals in the sudden-death.
