IEEE Int’l Confce held at DU

A day-long IEEE International Conference on “Imaging, Vision and Pattern Recognition” was held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium on Dhaka University (DU) campus on Monday.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the conference as the chief guest, said a DU press release. Center for Natural Science and Engineering Research (CNSER) organized the event in cooperation with IEEE Bangladesh section.
General Chair of the conference and former Director of Indian Statistical Institute, India Professor Sankar K Pal presided over the inaugural function while Vice-Chancellor of United International University Professor Dr M Rezwan Khan, Professor of the University of Twente, The Netherlands Dr Anton Nijhold, Professor of Chiba University, Japan Dr Taiga Yamaya and General Chair of the conference Professor Dr Md Atiqur Rahman Ahad addressed the function, among others.
Professor Arefin Siddique urged the professionals and researchers to conduct advanced level research on technology for the benefit of human being.
He hoped that this conference would play an important role to enhance the quality of researchers.
Scientists and researchers from Bangladesh, USA, China, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, India and The Netherlands took part at the conference.
