Campus Report :
A four-member team led by Hannelore Beerlandt, Consultant of Netherlands Development Corporation, Consultant Ace Europe and Managing Director of International Development Innovation Services (IDIS) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s office. Prof Dr Zobaida Akhter, Visiting Senior Research Fellow of University of Malaya, Malaysia was among others present on this occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest particularly women equality, women empowerment and women education. The DU Vice-Chancellor apprised the delegate about educational, political, social and economic status of women in the country.
The delegate praised the progress of women in various issues of development in Bangladesh. They laid emphasize on more participation and empowerment of women to accelerate country’s further development.
