IDF, Southtech deal to implement micro finance software

Integrated Development Foundation (IDF), one of the microfinance company of Bangladesh, signed an agreement with Southtech Limited to implement Southtech Ascend Financials to automate all of its branches and offices.
IDF becomes the launch customer in Bangladesh for this new hosted, centralized, web-based banking and microfinance management solution, said a press release.
Southtech Ascend Financials is a completely hosted IT solution that reduces the hardware and operational expenses of the customers.
In a ceremony held at IDF Head Office in Dhaka recently, Executive Director of IDF and Managing Director of Southtech Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
Established in 1992, IDF is a PKSF partner and currently has 80 branches across Bangladesh. It presently has approximately 150,000 active borrowers with a loan portfolio of around Tk 1,500,000,000.
Southtech Limited, established in 1996 in Dhaka, is now one of the largest ISO 9001:2008 certified and CMMI L-3 appraised software companies in Bangladesh. It is a pioneer in providing IT solutions to the microfinance industry.
