The prosecution of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Tuesday submitted formal charge against 4 alleged war criminals from Moulvibazar.
“We have brought two charges against Akmal Ali Talukder, 76, Anis Miah, 76,
Abdun Nur Talukder alias Lal Miah, 62, and Abdul Musabbir Miah, 64. The charges are for killing 59 people in one incident and gunning down another two in another incident,” prosecutor Sheikh Moshfeq Kabir told BSS.
Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1, set June 15 to pass order whether to take the charges into cognizance.
Of the accused, only Akmal is in jail after getting arrested on November,
2015.
