The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday showed 6 alleged Razakars from Botiaghata, Khulna, arrested under ICT Act of 1973, accepting a plea from the prosecution.
“Petition is allowed. We would issue a production warrant in this regard,” said Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-1.
The six accused are Ashraf Sheikh, Amzad Hossain Hawlader, Mozahar Ali Sheikh, Motiar Sheikh, Motasim Billah and Kamaluddin Goldar.
“All of them were arrested in a criminal case lodged with Botiaghata Police Station and are now in Khulna jail. They should be taken into the custody of the tribunal for the sake of proper investigation,” Prosecutor Mukhlesur Rahman Badal said in his plea.
Botiaghata Thana Muktijoddha Sangsad Commander Afzal Hossain lodged a case against them for killing Freedom Fighter Haridas Mazumder.
